ARch bridge
This is an arch bridge. The weight of the Arch bridge is distributed throughout the arch and then down to the base/foundation
Truss Bridge
This is called a truss bridge. That is were there are straight building material that are connected at angles. They are mostly used to cross small rivers. Without proper support and angles, this is not a good Popsicle stick bridge to use.
suspension bridge
This, although not made of Popsicle sticks, is a good example of a suspension bridge. The suspension wires are connected to strong metal post. Which all the weight is put on the wires and the post and the bolts holding the wires.
